The Behavior Technician implements individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), collects data, and helps create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Implement behavior intervention plans. Support students in general education or special education classrooms to promote positive behaviors and reduce problematic behaviors. Use strategies to increase skills in areas such as communication, social interaction, and academic engagement. Collect and record accurate data on student behavior and skill acquisition. Participate in team meetings. Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed, while maintaining a calm disposition. Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency and continuity of interventions. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in compliance with school and district policies. Complete training and certification requirements, including CPI which could include implementing restraint methods. Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with children, preferably in a school or special education setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills RBT certification OR proof of completion of 40 hour modules toward certification for Registered Behavior Technician (40 hour modules available online for free at Autism Partnership Foundation) Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field Familiarity with IEPs and BIPs Application Procedure: Apply Online Selection Procedure:
