Are you passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and helping them build safer, more independent lives? The Arc of Washington County is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our Behavior Support Services team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals, staff, and caregivers to implement behavioral strategies and provide hands-on support across residential, day, and community-based settings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behavioral health, psychology, mental health, or developmental disabilities who is looking to grow professionally in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. What We Offer - $22–$24/hour based on experience
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling
- Typical hours are primarily 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM with some weekend hours
- RBT certification training provided for the right candidate
- Supportive, collaborative team environment
- Meaningful clinical and behavioral support experience
What You’ll Do - Provide Brief Support Implementation Services (BSIS) in family homes, residential programs, personal supports programs, and day services
- Implement behavioral strategies face-to-face with individuals receiving services
- Train staff and caregivers by modeling behavioral interventions and support techniques
- Conduct observations, collect behavioral data, and complete clinical documentation
- Assist with crisis intervention services when assigned
- Work under the clinical supervision of a Behavioral Consultant while maintaining independence in daily responsibilities
What You Bring - Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field — REQUIRED
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in mental health or DDA programs
- Experience with behavior plans and/or Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
- Ability to obtain RBT Certification; training provided for the right candidate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license for at least two (2) years, not including time spent on a learner’s permit
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and physical/fitness test
- Ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds and implement physical intervention techniques when necessary
- Willingness to attend required paid training and orientation
