Company: ZABA Therapy is fast growing and its highly trained teams are led by BCBA-Ds (Doctoral level Behavior Analysts) and offer the best comprehensive early intensive behavioral intervention (ABA) for children and focused ABA for older learners ranging in age from 8-15.
Behavior Technician Role:The Behavior Technician works 1:1 in clinic, daycares or homes delivering ABA programming for children with autism.
CAREFULLY NOTE SESSION DAYS AND TIMES AVAILABLE IN Multiple Towns:
Weekdays: Hamden Clinic or nearby town in home or daycare. Hours typically 6-8 hour sessions starting around 8:30 am and ending typically 3:00 to 4:30 pm depending on client schedule.
Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
Structure therapy sessions and follow the treatment plan development by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Use a variety of applied behavioral procedures to teach communication, social skills, daily living, and play skills.
Tailor interactions to fit the tone, volume, and appropriate language for the learner’s age and environment
Implement behavior plans to reduce and eliminate targeted problem behaviors.
Maintain professionalism, ethical compliance, and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times while working with learners and families
Provide assistance to the family if in home to ensure a high quality learning and living environment for the learner.
Collect data for all programming using automated data collection tools (i.e., Passage Health)
Behavior Technician Job Requirements:
Must Have 1 year of experience providing ABA to children with autism
Must have at least 2 years of college/associates degree and 2 years of experience working with children with autism
OR
Must complete RBT training curriculum (40 hrs online training plus skill demonstration for BCBA) within 6 months of Good To Have:Experience using Applied Behavior Analysis procedures that include:
Discrete trials
Response Interruption and Redirection
Differential Reinforcement
Shaping
Pairing existing reinforcers with neutral items/activities to continually create new reinforcers
Conducting preference assessments
Naturalistic teaching procedures
Pivotal Response Training
Incidental Teaching Procedures
Teaching Interaction Procedure (for complex social skills).
Must be enthusiastic with learners throughout sessions
