    Behavior Technicians

    Behavior Technicians will assist, tutor, and instruct students who present with behavioral and/or mental health

    needs. The Behavior Technician will assist with the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior

    reduction plans developed by a BCBA and / or Special Education teacher. Additionally, the Behavior Technician

    will assist with the implementation of Special Education programming. Behavior technicians assist with core

    academics, executive functioning skills, and student care. They have the unique opportunity to

    contribute to positive educational outcomes by working as part of the outstanding team dedicated

    to educating our students.

    Location: Harwinton Consolidated, Lake Garda Elementary, Har-Bur Middle and Lewis S. Mills High Schools

    Nestled in the hills of Northwestern CT, Region 10 serves the towns of Harwinton and Burlington and is bordered by Farmington, Bristol, Litchfield, and Torrington. Our communities have many offerings contributing to work/life balance and convenience for daily life.

    Wage: TBD

    Schedule: 7.25 hours per day at both Harwinton and Lake Garda Schools

    7.0 hours per day at Har-Bur and Lewis Mills Schools

    183 days per year

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree or higher OR 60 college credits OR passing score in the ParaPro exam
    • Certified Behavior Tech or Registered Behavior tech OR
    • Participation in additional 40 hours online training for Behavior Techs. (link provided)
