Pay Range: $70 - $79/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to adult inpatient behavioral health patients and support a safe, therapeutic environment.

Required Qualifications

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.

• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through NYSED.

• AHA BLS certification required.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience required.

• Adult inpatient behavioral health experience required/preferred per role.

• Strong English communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult inpatient behavioral health patients.

• Assess, monitor, and document patients' physical and behavioral health status.

• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.

• Monitor patient responses and report significant changes appropriately.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and clinical records.

• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.

• Support a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment for behavioral health patients.

• Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and behavioral health protocols.

• Apply appropriate safety and infection-control practices.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Respond appropriately to behavioral or clinical changes and escalate concerns as required.

• Perform other nursing duties within the scope of practice as assigned.
