General Summary:
The United We Heal Instructor is a 20 hour per week, part time position implementing the current training portfolio and providing curriculum development support for new training offerings. The Instructor will also be tasked with continued evaluation and improvements of current training programs. All training will be provided through Obaverse, the Learning Management System used by UWH, requiring the person in this role to become familiar with the system so as to help orient participants. Live classes will be held online via Zoom video conferencing. The person in this role will be focused on providing instruction for UWH training and apprenticeship programs and supporting the successful retention and graduation of participants in completing UWH programs.
Instructor Program-Specific Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Develop curriculum for existing training pathways and expand offerings as needed;
- Work with partner organizations to identify training needs for staff not already addressed in trainings;
- Ensure that curriculum and trainings are based in equity principles ;
- Work with state credentialing body and regional and national accreditation as applicable to ensure curriculum and training aligns with the field;
- Audit and update current training offerings to stay up to date with new research and findings in the field;
- Report regularly and with professional communication to the Executive Director, Career Pathways Director, and Behavioral Health Career Pathways Supervisor;
- Create and implement evaluation processes related to training content and delivery;
- Provide live, synchronous trainings;
- Conduct timely grading of assignments for both synchronous and asynchronous courses;
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Attend Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee meetings. Be prepared to respond and to present, as needed, during these meetings.
- Collaborate with BOLI for updates to RTI pathways for registered apprenticeship programs and pre-apprenticeship programs as needed.
- Timely registration of participants into training in alignment with cohort start dates.
- Provide consistent, compassionate support to apprentices as needed to ensure on-track progression through training.
- Draft content for promotional materials for print/web.
- Maintain up-to-date enrollment information for participants in courses.
- Maintain Learning Management Platform, Obaverse, including course content, participant enrollment, progression, and completion.
- Attend and present at community-based events, conferences, and conventions as part of recruitment efforts.
- Complete funder/regulator compliance reporting as needed depending on program-specific grant requirements.
- Collaborate with the program management team to provide updates on participants' progress in courses.
Working Conditions:
- This is a half-time position, with the possibility of additional hours based on organizational growth;
- Readiness to work occasional long hours, weekends;
- Able to travel to meeting locations within the state
- Able to attend occasional conferences outside of the state
- Strong knowledge/comfortability with remote technology - ability to independently access various teleconferencing software (Zoom, Team, Google Meet), Google Workspace, etc.

Starting Salary:
$43,098.16
15% employer-paid retirement contribution

Required Qualifications
- Experience with delivery of mental health and substance use disorder services
- Active CADC II
- Experience with delivery of trainings, instruction, or psycho-educational curriculum
- Ability to independently problem-solve and be solutions-focused in addressing programmatic challenges
- Ability to think creatively about how adults learn, prioritizing the learning participants engage in on the job
- Demonstrated track record of advancing equity and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Behavioral Health certification: Peer, QMHA, or QMHP
- Bachelor's degree with major study in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, or closely allied field
- Experience with curriculum development and instruction
- Knowledge of higher education structures and policies
- Knowledge of labor union structure and practices
