Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) was formed in 1993 to serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.
Our sole purpose is to support and treat those challenged with serious mental illness and poverty. Although based out of Nashville, we serve several communities across middle and East Tennessee with satellite offices in Antioch, Gallatin, Dickson, Columbia, Cleveland, Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Memphis.

To perform a combination of behavioral health clinical responsibilities, with a primary focus on therapy for children, youth, and adults. Provide therapy to individuals and groups, promoting optimum mental health and wellness. Will be responsible for conducting enrollment assessments as needed.Job Summary: To perform a combination of behavioral health clinical tasks including and not limited to intake assessment on referrals for mental health services and/or provide counsel with emphasis on prevention and recovery as assigned on weekly rotation schedule by Program Manager. Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health.
This position will help individuals deal with complex and comorbid diagnosis which may include: serious persistent mental health illness, addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, marital problems and challenges with social determinants of health; suicide; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging, physical, mental and emotional health.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMLocation: 100 Berrywood Dr. Columbia, TN

Essential Skills and Experience:
Master’s degree (M.A., M.S.) in Mental Health field
Licensed or License-eligible with either with LPC/MHSP, LCSW or LMFT in the state of TN.
