JOB TITLE:  BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIAN/PROGRAM COORDINATOR
 
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES
 
CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT
 
COMPENSATION: $58,000-$65,000

POSTION SUMMARY:

Oversee Program Contract, Reporting Systems, and Deliverables. Provides mental health assessments, substance abuse assessments, individual and group sessions case management services, specific to the Program Plan outlined under the United States Probation Grant (USP).
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follows prescribed treatment recommendations/contract referred by USP.
  • Proficient communication and Reporting to USP Probation systems.
  • Provides mental health assessments, substance abuse assessments, individual and group sessions for mental health and substance abuse.
  • Monitors urine drops (same sex) as scheduled, complete UA required reporting and paperwork along with ordering supplies.
  • Provides mental health consultation during weekly clinical staff meeting and/or at other times as appropriate.
  • Coordinates referrals of patients to psychiatric/psychological services/medication monitoring.
  • Maintains accurate and thorough clinical records reflecting services provided to patients.
  • Responsible for collecting and verifying client information necessary to support the billing process.
  • Advises and evaluates patient needs and develops individualized treatment plans that consist of measurable and attainable treatment goals, treatment plan reviews and discharge planning.
  • Responsible for contract compliance and Audits.
  • Assists in the Agency’s Performance Improvement Program as requested.
  • Performs all job functions in a professional manner.
  • Performs all job functions consistent with confidentiality regulations, ethical practices and Agency polices and mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Has a good, working knowledge of the psychiatric/psychological /mental health, and substance abuse.
  • Has a thorough knowledge, as evidenced by training, of the fields of addiction and mental illness.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
  • Grant funded position
 
 
EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree in social services or related field required, LCPC or LCSW license preferred.
CADC preferred.   
Prior substance abuse treatment counseling and mental health experience. 
 
EXPERIENCE:
Has worked a minimum of one (1) year with patients who have alcohol or other drug addictions and mental health.
