Family Health Center of Worcester operates 7 School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs). SBHCs provide accessible, comprehensive healthcare services to students directly within the school setting, reducing barriers such as transportation, cost, and time away from class. They integrate medical, behavioral health, and preventive services to support students' overall well-being and improve health and academic outcomes. The School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Behavioral Health Practitioner works as part of a multidisciplinary care team that includes a Nurse Practitioner and Community Health Worker, collaborating closely with school staff to support the overall health and well-being of students.
Work Location and Schedule: This position will serve two School Health Centers within Worcester Public Schools: Doherty Memorial High School SBHC, 299 Highland St, Worcester, MA and Worcester East Middle SBHC, 420 Grafton St Worcester MA. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. School-Based Health Center (SBHC) location assignments may vary based on program and patient care needs. Any changes in site placement will be communicated with reasonable notice by the SBHC Director.

One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met in order to be considered for the position:
Education
And
Experience
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling required.
Two to four years direct patient care and managed care experience preferred; public sector experience may be applicable.
Experience working with children and adolescents required. This experience may be in an internship.
