Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist

Pay: $18-30/hr based on certification level. Schedule: Flexible. Employment type: W-2 part-time (1099 placement available). Location: In-person community-based work across Atlanta, GA and surrounding region.

About the role

The Wilkinson Firm (TWF) places Certified Peer Support Specialists into recovery programs, behavioral health crisis services, and community mental health centers across the Southeast. Peer support is the bridge between lived experience and clinical care.

Who we want

Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS, CPS, RPS, or state-equivalent credential). Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery required. At least 6 months of formal peer support work experience preferred. Comfortable in crisis, residential, or outpatient settings.

What you would do

• Use your lived experience to support clients in recovery
• Co-facilitate peer support groups
• Help clients navigate the treatment system
• Bridge the gap between clinical staff and client experience
• Document peer support encounters per agency standard
