Job Description: Medical Practice Manager 

 

Position Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and results-oriented Practice Manager for a growing behavioral health outpatient practice. The ideal candidate is a confident, "can-do" self-starter with a proven ability to manage and enhance day-to-day operations in a dynamic healthcare environment. Behavioral health experience is a significant advantage. This role will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the success of the practice. 

Shape 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Practice Operations Management: 

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure seamless functionality across all departments. 

  • Develop and implement efficient processes and workflows to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. 

  • Develop and generate timely Key Performance Indicator reports by department 

  • Monitor and improve clinic performance metrics, including patient satisfaction and revenue cycle outcomes. 

  1. Staff Management: 

  • Supervise and lead administrative and clinical teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. 

  • Handle recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development of staff. 

  • Ensure compliance with staffing regulations and credentialing requirements. 

  1. Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and industry regulations, including HIPAA. 

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate risks and enhance patient safety. 

  • Coordinate audits and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field. 

  • Experience managing a medical practice; behavioral health experience is a strong plus. 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 

  • Proven track record to develop and to generate timely Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports  

  • Expertise in medical billing, revenue cycle management, and financial oversight a plus 

  • Thorough understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. 

  • Proficiency in practice management software and electronic health records (EHR).
