We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health RN to join our team in Ottumwa, IA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring safety, therapeutic support, and effective care coordination in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients
• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor mental health status and respond to behavioral changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Document patient care and progress accurately
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care

Must-Have Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Iowa or compact state license allowing practice in Iowa

Nice-To-Have Qualifications

• Prior experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or mental health nursing
• Experience in acute care or inpatient psychiatric settings
