SUMMARY
The Senior Behavioral Health Specialist with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) provides a variety of professional services. The position will provide therapy to traumatized/distressed employees of CMPD; training incident debriefing counselors; coordinating critical incident stress debriefs; group counseling sessions; teaching police academy courses; and maintaining confidential records.
This position may be subject to after-hours callback to support during emergency response and other critical situations.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
The City's Background Check Policy requires background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s) applying for any position with the City of Charlotte.
