This position serves as one of the three clinical and administrative supervisors on a multidisciplinary team, where co-workers are therapist/case managers, medical staff, peer support specialists, and criminal justice system partners. Provides a wide range of professional treatment services to diagnostically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse client populations with serious mental illness, substance use, emotional and co-occurring disorders as well as developmental disabilities.
Adult Detention Center - Jail Based Team:
Serves as one of the three clinical and administrative supervisors on a multidisciplinary team, where co-workers are therapist/case managers, medical staff, peer support specialists, and criminal justice system partners. Provides a wide range of professional treatment services to diagnostically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse client populations with serious mental illness, substance use, emotional and co-occurring disorders as well as developmental disabilities. May conduct individual, group and family therapy and testify in court. Must maintain detailed documentation in an electronic health record meeting state, local and federal performance contract, and licensing expectations. Supervises a multidisciplinary team to include Behavioral Health Specialist I, Behavioral Health Specialist II, Behavioral Health Senior Clinician, and Behavioral Health Nurse/Case Manager.
This is an onsite position, and your work location will be the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. This position's work hours will include weekend and evening hours, as well as some holidays, and on call.
Bonus Note: The Jail Based Team position is eligible for an annual environmental bonus of $5,408 for full-time positions.

Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college with at least a masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or nursing plus three years of clinical experience or a doctoral degree in psychology, social, counseling or nursing plus one year of clinical experience.
Must be eligible to be licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or Licensed Nurse Practitioner.

The Adult Detention Center is not barrier free. Ability to walk significant distances within multiple buildings, climb stairs, and respond to physical requirements necessary to comply with security and safety regulations. Ability to attend off site meetings and training; communicate effectively orally and in writing; and observe, process, and document clinical information. Ability to access, input, and retrieve computer data. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
