If you are a talented, passionate clinician looking to make a real difference in the recovery community, the Avenues family warmly welcomes you!Now hiring Substance BHT/Driver for our Outpatient Program located in Metairie, LA!Evening Shift: M-F 3:00pm-11:00pmWhat You'll DoProvide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environmentMonitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staffRecord and escalate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely mannerFulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge andappointments as necessaryCollect and deliver all external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessaryEngage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with any luggageEnsure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all timesWhat We're Looking ForHigh School diploma or GED preferredValid Driver's license and CPR certification preferredIf in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety requiredStrong interpersonal and multitasking skillsWarm, compassionate and empathetic personalityDignified character that models recovery principlesMinimum 1-year experience in treatment industry preferredExtensive knowledge of all motor vehicle lawsWhere You'll WorkAvenues Extended Care is an intensive outpatient facility offering outpatient clinical drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
