Salary: $20.00 USD Hourly - $22.50 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Behavioral Health Technician - Early Intervention around the Delaware County area!

    Location

    Daycares and early education centers throughout Delaware County. Staff will typically be assigned to 1–2 primary locations.

    Age Range of Students

    3–5 years old

    Schedule

    Start Time: 8:00–9:00 AM End Time: Around 3:00 PM (Monday–Friday, following the school calendar)

    Position Overview

    This school district is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the Early Intervention Program. In this role, you will work alongside certified special education teachers and support staff to provide individualized instruction and behavioral support to young learners with complex needs. Strong communication, consistency, and teamwork are essential to helping students meet their academic and developmental goals in a structured, supportive environment.

    You will also receive support from an experienced BCBA team and crisis management staff, and you’ll be working with a new teacher who is eager to collaborate and make a meaningful impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Instructional Support: Assist with academic activities, modify materials, and lead small groups under teacher direction.

    • Behavior Management: Implement positive behavior strategies and support students following IEP‑driven behavior plans.

    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and classroom staff to carry out daily lesson plans and interventions.

    • Student Supervision: Monitor students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and recess to ensure safety and engagement.

    • Daily Assistance: Support students with basic self‑care needs, including meals, hygiene, and mobility when needed.

    • Data & Documentation: Collect behavioral and academic data, track progress, and assist with daily classroom logs.

    • Environment Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.

    • Crisis Response: Follow established protocols during emergencies or escalated situations.

    • Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality (FERPA compliance) and adhere to DCIU’s dress code and conduct expectations.

    • Training: Complete a minimum of 20 hours of annual training.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience as a Behavioral Health Technician (required)

    • High School Diploma or GED (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Education or related field (preferred)

    • Comfortable working in an intermediate unit setting

    • Comfortable with toileting, diapering, and feeding

    • Strong team‑player mindset
