JOB DESCRIPTION


JEZZOB Behavioral Health (JBH) LLC is a residential behavioral health treatment facility with a focus on adults; 18 years and older with mental health and substance abuse issues. 


This role requires working with the clinical team to provide a structured, safe and nurturing environment to meet residents’ needs, and treatment goals to enforce program expectations. The BHT/BHPP/PSP will engage in behavior management and facilitate therapeutic recreational and social/life skills activities. 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  • Maintain and update resident progress notes, Medication Administration Record, and other resident file notes to be utilized by the clinical team in relation to treatment plans.
  • Transport residents to and from support groups, medical appointments and recreational activities.
  • Provide direction, support, and assurance to residents in their treatment and daily activities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living based on their individual and specific levels of need
  • Monitor residents’ behavior and conduct safety rounds throughout facility every 15 minutes
  • Participate in onsite weekly training and biweekly clinical supervision
  • Conduct and lead group activities to assist residents with sober living, life skills, and coping skills.
  • Assist residents in navigating and accessing medical, behavioral and social services.
  • Assist residents in preparing meals and understanding nutritional choices based on the Nutritionist provided Meal Plan.
  • Assist residents in the self-administration of medication and corresponding records.
  • Assist residents by researching and using community resources with a focus towards eventual reintegration to the community and self-sufficiency.
  • Effective communication with fellow team members and Administrator to ensure consistent and thoughtful program implementation.
  • Responsible for timely clock in and out daily to reflect hours worked 
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, complete and available in a timely manner.
  • Completes all assigned work during designated shift and requires supervisor approval for overtime.
  • Must complete the daily task checklist and other duties as determined by the Administrator.
SKILLS IN: 


  • Communicating clearly, concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • The use of computer/keyboard devices to retrieve and/or enter information.
  • Effective decision making/problem solving based on a limited amount of information in crisis or emergency situations.
  • The use of modern office equipment (e.g. various keyboards, multi-line telephone system, photo copiers, radio devices, eFax and traditional technology, shredders, etc.).
ABILITY TO: 


  • Type at 25 net words per minute.
  • Operate a computer/notebook.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain courteous and effective working relationships.
  • Accept and apply constructive criticism and critiques.
  • Maintain emotional control and work effectively during emergencies, crisis situations or extremely stressful conditions.
  • Consistently speak in a clear, well-modulated voice.

  • Multi-task, organize, prioritize and adapt to constantly changing situations, and effectively take appropriate action.
  • Read, understand and interpret moderately difficult to complex written information (e.g. policies, procedures, rules, regulations, statutes, etc.).
  • Understand verbal instructions in the use of specialized equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, exercising good judgment in the safeguarding of confidential or sensitive information.
  • Perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy, at times during stressful situations.
  • Accurately interpret and follow Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) rules and guidelines, and JBH internal policies and procedures.
  • Work within deadlines in order to complete assignments.
  • Interact with visitors in person in a courteous, professional and effective manner.
  • Develop, lead, and participate in team and work groups.
REQUIREMENTS


  • Requires a high school diploma or GED. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid and Current Driver’s License
  • Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card 
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Working vehicle, 39- month MVD record and car insurance
  • Copy of social security card
  • TB test- if older than 6 months, we may require a new test. 
  • Caregiver Certification for Certified Caregivers 
  • Physical exam- if older than 6 months, we may require a new test
  • Holidays, weekends, irregular hours and shift work may be required with possible extension of shift hours, at times with short notice. Hours may vary for salaried employee.
  • Local travel and driving are a necessity
  • Strict adherence to attendance policy
  • Food Handler’s Card- can be obtained within 30 days of employment
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 


  • Office Setting
  • The ability to lift 25 pounds regularly
  • The ability to identify and respond to crisis situations
  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle (van)
  • Frequent alternating between sitting and standing
Job Type: Full-time


Salary:  Depends on education and experience.
*Bonuses available for additional work done outside of contractual agreement/hours. Such bonus offers will be agreed upon prior to performance of the task.
*Salary will be adjusted to reflect any time taken off.
