Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Behavioral Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role will focus on providing high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, with a particular emphasis on those struggling with addiction and mental health issues. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional care that promotes healing and recovery in a safe, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status and develop personalized treatment plans.
2. Provide therapeutic services for individuals, families or groups, including addiction counseling, crisis intervention, and relapse prevention strategies.
3. Utilize evidence-based therapies such as DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care.
4. Regularly document clinical notes, treatment plans, and patient progress in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for case management, coordinating care and advocating for patient needs.
6. Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
7. Implement conflict resolution strategies to mediate disputes or misunderstandings that may arise during treatment.
8. Conduct psychosocial assessments to understand the impact of social factors on patients' mental health.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest research and best practices in behavioral health to ensure delivery of effective and innovative care.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting, with a focus on addiction and mental health.
4. Proven experience with crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing.
5. Proficient in EMR documentation and clinical documentation.
6. Experience in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and psychosocial assessments.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage cases effectively, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships with patients.
9. Knowledge of and experience in applying trauma-informed care and DBT principles in a clinical setting.
10. Strong conflict resolution skills, with the ability to mediate and resolve issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
