    BHT (Behavioral Health Technician) - NIGHT

    Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder | Full-Time
    10270 Blacklick-Eastern Rd NW, Pickerington, OH 43147

    Shifts Available:Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) 3 x 12 and every other weekend rotation
    Pay:$16-18/hour

    About Solero Behavioral Transitions

    Solero Behavioral Transitions offers a safe, structured environment for adults managing substance use and mental health challenges. As a dual diagnosis outpatient program, we provide integrated treatment for individuals with primary substance use or mental health disorders.
    Responsibilities include:

    • Provide direct patient care during overnight hours, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
    • Conduct ongoing monitoring for behavioral, psychiatric, medical, and withdrawal-related changes throughout the night; promptly report concerns to the RN.
    • Perform scheduled and PRN overnight clinical tasks, including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and withdrawal assessment
    • Ensure patient safety through frequent night rounds, continuous observation, contraband searches, and monitoring of visitors and unit access.
    • Support nighttime admissions, patient orientation, and early-morning discharge preparations as required.
    • Facilitate and document approved overnight therapeutic or recovery-focused activities, when scheduled, and provide individual support to patients as appropriate.
    • Respond calmly and effectively to overnight crises using de-escalation, safety interventions, and established protocols.
    • Maintain a quiet, clean, safe, and therapeutic milieu conducive to rest and recovery in accordance with facility policies.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure continuity of care across shifts. 

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Behavioral Health field is a plus.
    • Demonstration of group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments.
    •  Crisis intervention skills. Handle with Care training/certification preferred, but will train.
