Faculty members are expected to teach 15 credit hours per semester engage in academic advising assess course outcomes and support institutional retention and recruitment efforts. This position requires commitment to Christian faith integration student-centered learning and continuous professional development.​Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Course Assessment· Teach 15 credit hours per semester ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional learning objectives.· Develop and maintain organized course materials that align with student learning outcomes.· Utilize effective teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and engagement.· Assess student achievement of course learning outcomes and implement improvements based on assessment data.· Effectively utilize the institution&39s Learning Management System LMS for course content delivery and student progress tracking.Student Engagement & Advising· Provide academic advising to assigned students supporting their educational and career goals.· Use Dropout Detective as a retention tool to monitor student progress and proactively address academic concerns.· Encourage student engagement through mentorship and active participation in academic and extracurricular activities.· Address student concerns in a timely and professional manner fostering a positive learning environment.Institutional & Departmental Contribution· Assist in achieving departmental goals and initiatives as directed by the department chair.· Participate in departmental meetings curriculum development and institutional assessment efforts.· Collaborate with colleagues on program development and interdisciplinary initiatives.· Maintain compliance with accreditation standards institutional policies and regulatory requirements.Professional Development & Continuous Improvement· Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and curriculum delivery.· Set annual professional goals and assess progress in consultation with the department chair.· Participate in faculty evaluations and use feedback for continuous improvement. Qualifications· A Doctorate Ph.D. Psy.D. or Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology Clinical Psychology Experimental Psychology Counselor Education & Supervision Social Work or a closely related Behavioral Science discipline e.g. Counselor Education Social Work from a regionally accredited institution.· Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills· Commitment to the integration of Christian faith and academic excellence in a Christ-centered learning environment Preferred Qualifications· Licensure as a Professional Counselor LPC or Psychologist· Experience in the field of forensic psychology or related areas· Prior teaching experience in higher educationApplication Process Qualified applicants should complete the online application and submit the following· Current resume· Statement of faith· Official transcriptsApplications should be sent to HRcbc.edu.
