Bell Person SUMMARY: Transports the baggage of hotel guests in a prompt and courteous manner. Assist with group check ins/check outs. Ensure guests receive superior service. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Transports hotel guests' baggage in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Greet and converse with guests. Provide needed assistance with baggage upon arrival in Valet area.
- Carefully remove baggage from car, truck, or bus and transports to room after guest has checked in.
- Pick up luggage upon departure and transport to appropriate area.
- Maintain accurate records of all baggage stored in the storage area.
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Must represent the company in a friendly and professional manner
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES None Listed. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, understand and speak fluently in English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to inform guest of the hotel's facilities and services available.
WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to lift and carry upwards of 100 pounds. Ability to lift, bend, walk, reach over head, as well as walk and stand for extended periods of time. May be exposed to extreme heat, cold and high noise levels. Work may require evening, early morning, holiday and week end schedules
