Description

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for administering the company’s 401(k) plan and serving as the primary point of contact for the organization’s 401(k) provider. This role ensures accurate and complaint-plan operations and provides support to employees regarding retirement benefits. Additionally, the Benefits Administrator serves as a backup to the Leave of Absence function, assisting with related processes and inquiries as needed. 
Specific Job Description 
  • Monitor and audit data imports between the 401(k) provider and the payroll system 
  • Serve as employee point of contact, assisting with questions related to 401(k) 
  • Serve as company primary contact to external auditors during annual 401(k) plan audit 
  • Identifies and recommends updates to 401(k) and payroll software, systems, and procedures 
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of 401(k) transactions 
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal laws and best practices 
  • Provides backup support to the Leave of Absence team, assisting with the processing of leave requests and accommodation as needed. 
  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer 
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures 
  • Utilize various computer software’s to create, edit, and audit data 
  
Span of Control 
  • No direct or indirect reports 
  • Works under moderate supervision 
  
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required 
  • Prior experience administering a 401(k) plan 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; including the ability to use advanced formulas in Excel 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Outstanding customer service skills
