Working closely with Account Executives, Account Managers, and Account Associates, the Benefit Advocate manages eligibility, billing, and claims inquiries, and provides day-to-day support and education that drives employee satisfaction and client retention.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage dedicated service inboxes (e.g., Premium accounts), triaging and resolving inquiries within service standards, escalating to the Account Management Team when needed.
Liaise with carriers, TPAs, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and ensure resolution in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
Conduct regular audits (e.g., weekly Employee Navigator checks) to identify and resolve missing information or discrepancies.
Maintain access and portal setups with carriers, TPAs, and vendors.
Process and oversee eligibility updates: new hires, terminations, address changes, COBRA updates, and Qualified Life Events (QLEs).
Support Account Managers with compliance deliverables and client documentation requests (e.g., 90-Day/Keating forms).
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in Group Benefits working on the agency side or the carrier side, or comparable experience preferred.
Texas Life & Health License is required or must obtain after employment.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
A foundational understanding of Microsoft Office; comfortable with modern technology
Must be able to work independently and build strong client and company relationships.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
