Garden County Health Services (GCHS) is a Rural Emergency Hospital offering nursing home, clinic, and critical access hospital services to the Oshkosh community and surrounding areas. We’re proud of our deep roots in rural healthcare, and we’re looking for a detail‑oriented, dependable individual to join our team as a Benefits Coordinator / Administrative Assistant.

In this role, you will support both our employees and leadership team by ensuring smooth administrative operations and helping manage employee benefits that support our dedicated healthcare staff.
What You’ll Do at GCHS
In this dual role, you’ll combine strong organizational skills with a people‑focused mindset to support both benefits administration and day‑to‑day office functions. You will:
Benefits Coordination
- Assist with employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to benefits enrollment and changes
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefits in a timely, helpful, and professional manner
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee benefits records
- Coordinate with benefits providers and HR to resolve issues or discrepancies
- Assist with open enrollment, including employee communication and documentation
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support including scheduling, filing, and data entry
- assist other departments and activities as needed
- Answer phones, manage emails, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and internal communications
- Assist leadership and departments with clerical and organizational tasks
- Support special projects, meetings, and events as needed
You May Be a Great Fit If You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative or office experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
