Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic, seasoned Permanent Benefits Manager to join our fast-paced legal firm. The successful candidate will manage our company's benefits programs and ensure they are in line with our employees' needs. This role involves overseeing our benefits plans and policies, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing the employees experience with benefits. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in benefits administration, retirement planning, and a deep understanding of the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and administer the company’s benefits programs including, but not limited to, health, dental, disability, life insurance, HSA, and retirement plans.
2. Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other employers to ensure competitiveness and plan redesign, as needed.
3. Analyze the effectiveness of existing benefits programs and recommend improvements, modifications, and new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with market trends and company objectives.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting.
5. Coordinate with insurance companies, plan brokers, and other vendors to resolve benefits-related problems and ensure smooth delivery of benefits to employees.
6. Manage and oversee the benefits team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
7. Provide benefits-related guidance and support to all levels of employees.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in benefits administration within the legal industry.
3. Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM is preferred.
4. Solid experience working with benefits administration platforms, including UKG and ADP.
5. Strong knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans (401(k)/profit sharing/cash balance), HSA, EAP, wellness initiatives and ancillary benefits.
6. Excellent understanding of federal and state regulations regarding benefits.
7. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
