Our client is seeking a strategic Benefits Manager to oversee the full spectrum of employee benefits for a complex, multi-state manufacturing organization.

This is a highly visible role with ownership of benefits strategy, plan design, health & welfare programs, retirement plans, compliance, wellness initiatives, and team leadership. The Benefits Manager will partner closely with senior leadership to evaluate benefit offerings, manage costs, influence plan design decisions, and help shape the overall employee value proposition.

On a day-to-day basis, the role will lead open enrollment activities, manage broker and carrier relationships, analyze benefits data and market trends, ensure regulatory compliance, support audits and reporting, and develop employee communications and education initiatives. The position also oversees the benefits team, collaborates with Finance and HR leadership, negotiates with vendors, and presents strategic recommendations to executives, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to drive both business and employee impact.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record partnering with leadership to optimize benefit offerings, managing external providers, and delivering clear, effective communication to both salaried and hourly employee populations. Experience supporting a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Description

• Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
• Evaluate current benefits offerings and recommend improvements to enhance employee satisfaction and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor benefit-related costs, utilization trends, and budgeting activities to drive informed decision-making
  
• Serve as the primary liaison with brokers, insurance carriers, and other external benefit partners.
  
• Ensure adherence to applicable benefit regulations and reporting requirements.
  
• Develop educational materials and deliver benefit communications to employees across the organization.
• Oversee annual enrollment activities and ongoing benefit program administration.
  
• Analyze workforce feedback and market data to maintain competitive employee offerings.
  
• Coach and support members of the benefits team, helping drive operational excellence and service delivery.
