Position Summary
The Specialist, Retirement is a member of the firm’s Benefits team within the Human Resources department. The Specialist, Retirement plays a key role in assisting with the day-to-day administration of the firm’s retirement plans in the United States.
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists with preparing the annual retirement budget and reconciling expenses on a monthly basis
Conducts manual audits of contributions, deferral elections, loan and payroll frequency, withdrawals, systems accuracy (Wage Works, Workday, Cigna and Fidelity) and integrations
Conducts weekly reviews of Workday reports for rehires, conversions to employee status, payroll changes, promotions, and relocations Prepares the partner contribution tracker to provide quarterly contributions for three retirement plans
Manages the annual Partner 401(k) open enrollment process
Reviews monthly defined contribution and defined benefit reports and reconciles them for accuracy
Manages forfeiture and revenue credit processes
Coordinates nondiscrimination testing
Performs ADP testing
Performs Section 415(c) limit testing
Updates the committee charter
Oversees fiduciary liability renewal
Manages COBRA and retiree past-due premiums in WageWorks
Conducts semi-annual audits of outstanding Fidelity checks
Assists with quality control procedures and updates to the administration guide
Reconciles distributions and contributions for investment managers to ensure cash availability
Supports the Manager, Benefits & Retirement with annual audits, preparation of financial statements, Form 5500s, and other filings
Assists with preparing minutes for Benefits Committee meetings
Assists with special projects and performs other retirement administration responsibilities as assigned by management
Enhances the overall brand of the Human Resources Department through positive and effective interactions with personnel, outside vendors, and consultants
Qualifications / Position Requirements

Commitment to handling information with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity
Well-developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills
Strong excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft suite applications

Excellent organizational skills with careful attention to detail and timely follow-through
Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment
Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree; degree or coursework in retirement, accounting, and/or another quantitative field preferred
5 years’ experience in benefits or accounting, with at least 2 years’ experience that included retirement-related responsibilities
Robust experience in Excel, including with formulas, pivot tables, and troubleshooting
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 - $115,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
