Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services – working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. The benefits specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including (but not limited to) medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
The pay range for this position is$56,208.17-$64,565.51 based on experience, education, and/or licensure:
Essential Functions:
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Assists with new-hire orientations.
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA & BWC.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
- Assists with the open enrollment process.
- Administers the tuition reimbursement & CEU programs.
- Administers the vehicle lease program.
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
- Monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices
- Travel within designated service area
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Licensure:
- High school degree or GED equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources related fields is required
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification credential preferred
Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in benefits administration required
- 1-2 years experience administering FMLA and other leave programs required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written is required
- Minimum of Intermediate level Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills are required
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required
- An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required
- Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required
- Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required
- Ability to maintain high-speed internet connection is required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times is required
