This role serves as the enterprise lead for self-insured benefits strategy, governance, and vendor management for a reputable broker dealer—driving a high-quality, cost-effective benefits experience while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Own the strategy and execution of enterprise-wide benefits programs, including health, welfare, wellness, leave, workers' compensation, and EAP
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on benefits strategy, risk, compliance, and cost optimization
- Design and enhance benefit plans aligned with business goals and workforce needs
- Lead all benefits communications to ensure clarity, engagement, and adoption
- Oversee regulatory filings and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Evaluate vendors, brokers, and partners—delivering data-driven recommendations and managing key relationships
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively guide program adjustments
- Establish strong governance, policies, and operational excellence across benefits programs
- Lead, mentor, and develop the benefits team while ensuring accurate execution and issue resolution
What You Bring
- Deep expertise in self-insured health plans, funding strategies, and vendor management
- Strong command of benefits and employment regulations (ERISA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex concepts clearly
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions and control costs
- Leadership experience managing teams and multiple strategic priorities
- Advanced Excel and HRIS experience (UKG/UltiPro a plus)
