BESS Site Manager

BELMONT Search is a construction executive search firm serving the electrical, utility and energy sector across the Northeast. We are engaged on current and upcoming Site Manager searches with solar and storage contractors delivering battery energy storage projects across Massachusetts.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Battery energy storage sites are delivered against interconnection milestones set by the utility, and those dates govern the project's value. These positions carry the site from mobilization through to an energized, commissioned asset.

THE ROLE

You will hold site responsibility across civil works, electrical balance of plant, and the coordination with the integrator and the utility that determines whether the project energizes on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct the site from mobilization through commissioning support and turnover
• Manage civil works and electrical balance of plant, self-performed and subcontracted
• Sequence battery enclosure, inverter and transformer installation
• Coordinate the integrator and equipment vendors through the commissioning window
• Track interconnection milestones and support utility witness testing
• Administer site safety and quality, and produce the documentation the owner and the utility both require

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Field leadership on solar, storage or utility electrical construction
• A site delivered to energization under your responsibility, from any of those three routes
• Familiarity with an integrator's schedule and a utility's inspection standards
• Willingness to travel within Massachusetts

COMPENSATION

Base salary of $130,000 to $170,000.
