Workshop Assistant Director/Choreographer for Burlington Educational Summer Theater

Description:

  • Assist the Director in choosing music, dances and scenes that are appropriate for the students
  • Choreograph the songs for the show and teach the movement to the students
  • Oversee the dancing and movement aspects
  • Collaborate with the Director, counselors and other staff members
  • Ensure that there is adequate supervision of the students
  • Promote an environment based on working as an ensemble, taking creative risks, and having fun.
  • Help produce a 30 minute workshop performance
  • For students in grades 1-5
  • Production period: July 6 - July 17, Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 1:30
  • Performances on Friday July 10 and 17, 1:00
  • Planning meetings before and after

Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate dance movement
  • Ability to teach a large group of kids for 5 hours per day

Location: Burlington High School, Burlington MA

Compensation: $1,500.00
