Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Hy-Vee Manufacturing
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Function
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and supervises warehouse employees making sure all items are prepared, shipped and received on time. Oversees loading dock operations, organizing and delegating labor to efficiently complete delivery of inbound and outbound shipments.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist Warehouse Managers in daily operations, scheduling, monitoring employees.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Operation of power industrial trucks including, pallet jacks and stand up forklift.
- Assist Warehouse Managers with performance reviews, compensation and corrective actions.
- Oversees the timely loading/unloading of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Print purchase orders, reconciles purchase orders to receiving documents, makes adjustments as needed for proper payment
- Coordinates labor allocation to ensure continuous workflow.
- Keeps managers informed about changes with inbound and outbound loads.
- Send and request trailers via Yard.
- Mentor and train current and new personnel.
- Uphold that all policies, quality processes and procedures are followed.
- Able to give input on how to improve processes and workflow.
- Follow all safety regulations and holding team accountable.
- Must be able to complete provided forklift certification program.
- Must ensure food quality through proper rotation and handling of product.
- Adhere and demonstrate Safety processes and procedures.
- Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Uphold that all Company policies, quality processes and procedures are followed.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties
- Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
- Ability to problem solve under time constraints.
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
- Work with other departments.
- Put product away via forklift or pallet jack.
- Replenish production area when needed.
- Assist in providing direction when needed to Inventory Specialist.
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically able to perform medium work: exerting up to 65 lbs. of force to move objects. (boxes of beef weight between 60-65lbs)
- Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to 20 feet or more with or without correction, color vision, field of vision, and depth perception.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, standing, feeling, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, and repetitive motions
Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Job:
- Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
- Must be able to solve practical problems.
- Must be able to perform simple addition, fraction, and subtraction problems.
- Must have basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
Working Conditions
The duties of this position are performed in an office and receiving dock. The Commissary receiving dock is 34 degrees, and able to work in the freezer -10 degrees
Equipment/Programs used to Perform Job
Office equipment including telephone, 10-key calculator, copier and fax. Printers, terminals and PC with ProcessPro software, mainframe, spreadsheet software, handheld radio and AWS scan Guns. Pallet jacks and forklift.

High school or equivalent experience. Basic Computer knowledge necessary. At least one year of similar or related work experience.
