    Job Description

Study Break is Southern California’s premier hard seltzer. Our craft hard seltzers use a unique alcohol base made from oranges rather than a traditional beer base to create higher ABV hard seltzers without the weird, malty aftertaste. We’re on a mission to create beverages for the next generation of drinkers.

We’re hiring a Full-Time Packaging & Production Manager to join our rapidly expanding team. In this leadership role, you’ll help us make Study Break a staple on tap and on the shelves across Southern California, while leading and supporting our production team to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

    Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate daily packaging and production operations.
    • Schedule, train, and mentor production team members to maximize efficiency and safety.
    • Delegate tasks and monitor performance to ensure SOP compliance and production goals are met.
    • Maintain staffing levels and coverage for all shifts, including troubleshooting unexpected absences or bottlenecks.
    • Lead safety meetings and ensure all team members follow proper safety protocols.

    Production & Packaging Responsibilities

    • Competently operate Microcanner canning machine and SKA Fabricating depalletizer.
    • Utilize Cellar equipment to process and blend batches according to Study Break standards.
    • Perform quality assurance tests, tracking pH, carbonation, brix, and alcohol by volume.
    • Properly clean, sanitize, and fill kegs, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
    • Maintain proper packaging records, logs, and production documentation.
    • Ensure cleanliness of all packaging equipment, tanks, and production areas.

    CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS:

    • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a production brewing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Experience in canning and packaging is preferred.
    • Experience running a canning line preferred; Ollie brewing software experience is a plus.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with an ability to manage a team effectively.
    • Physical capability of regularly lifting up to 55 lbs, maneuvering 165 lbs, and working in various production environments (hot, cold, cramped spaces, at heights).
    • Must be 21+ years of age and able to pass a criminal background and drug test.
    • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
