Beverage Server Part Time

Beverage Server is responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in an excellent and timely manner to ensure quality guest service.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Greets guests on arrival and regards on departure in a warm and inviting manner
• Takes orders from guests and delivers and dispenses correct beverages
• Demonstrates salesmanship with complete menu and product knowledge
• Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of workstation
• Performs responsible alcohol service with regards to guest limitations
• Utilizes all bar equipment and point-of-sale systems
• Communicates to management in a timely fashion any guest compliments or complaints
• Performs general upkeep and cleaning duties, such as mopping floors, wiping countertops, cleaning food prep areas, rolling silverware, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong and accurate money handling skills
• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and ability to operate point-of-sale systems
• Knowledge of wines, alcohol, and mixed drinks as well as gaming operations etiquette

Education and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months prior work experience preferred
• Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable

Physical requirements and working conditions:

• The employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
• The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume
