This position is responsible for providing high-quality service to guests in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all applicable local laws and university policies regarding alcohol sales and service.Responsibilities* Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state laws, university policies, and venue regulations.* Verify customer age and identification in accordance with state alcohol laws.* Process payments efficiently using a point-of-sale (POS) system.* Maintain a clean and organized service area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.* Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines, recognizing signs of overconsumption and refusing service when necessary.* Provide friendly, professional customer service, ensuring a positive guest experience.* Work efficiently in a high-volume setting, handling large crowds and long lines.* Assist with setup, stocking, and closing duties as needed.* Comply with all workplace safety policies and stadium event protocols.Minimum Qualifications* Must be at least 21 years of age.* Valid alcohol server certification/license (as required by state law).* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.* Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled per event needs.* Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.Preferred Qualifications:* Previous experience in food & beverage service, bartending, or stadium/event concessions preferred.* Experience working in a stadium, arena, or large event venue.* Knowledge of state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.* Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.Preferences Special Instructions Summary Additional InformationThe University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
