BGA Rework Assembler

Location: San Jose, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary with Potential for Permanent Hire

We are seeking a skilled BGA Rework Assembler to join a fast-paced electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience repairing and reworking printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), performing precision soldering, and following detailed manufacturing procedures to ensure high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform BGA and PCBA rework and repair according to work instructions and production schedules.
  • Remove and replace electronic components using appropriate soldering and rework equipment.
  • Perform hand soldering, including installation of jumper wires when required.
  • Review work orders and verify materials before beginning repairs.
  • Accurately complete production and repair documentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with training new team members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in an electronics or contract manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with BGA rework, PCB/PCBA repair, and component replacement.
  • Strong hand soldering and desoldering skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, manufacturing instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mandarin language skills are a plus but not required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SMT and through-hole component rework.
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
