Opportunities for Otsego's Building Healthy Families program is seeking an experienced family-services professional who combines strong supervisory skills, expertise in child and family development, cultural humility, emotional intelligence, and a passion for supporting both staff and families to achieve positive outcomes.
 
Salary Range: $63,000 - $69,000 annually
 
Pay Range Guide:
  • Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirements
  • Advanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)

Most Important Responsibilities of our BHF Team Leader:
  • Supervise home visiting staff, providing them with regular and protected supervision meetings, including Administrative, Clinical, and Reflective components
  • Facilitate training of new employees, including providing direct training as needed and assisting with the navigation of training resources
  • Provide and facilitate Transfer of Learning opportunities to support professional development
  • Support staff with service planning, family goal achievement, referrals, and use of curricula
  • Ensure service quality and compliance with requirements of funding sources 
  • Review participant case plans
 
Requirements of our BHF Team Leader:
  • Master’s degree in human services or fields related to working with children and families, or bachelor’s degree in these fields with 3 years of relevant experience, or less than a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience working in a Healthy Families America program
  • Solid understanding of or experience in supervising diverse staff with humility and supporting staff in stressful work environments
  • Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, parent-infant health, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
  • Experience with family-centered, strengths-based service provision, supporting culturally diverse communities/families; in home visiting experience with a strong background in early childhood prevention;
  • Willingness to engage in building reflective practice
  • Infant mental health endorsement and experience with reflective practice preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Spanish fluency a plus
