What We Do
Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is a trusted nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening children, families, and communities across Iowa. LSI provides a wide range of programs including child welfare, behavioral health, refugee and immigrant services, services for people with disabilities, and support for older adults.
What You'll Do
Our Social Worker will provide skill-based interventions to address the behavioral needs of Iowa children and parents that accompany a mental illness diagnosis. The person in this role is responsible for building the behavioral skills they need to thrive in their home and in their community. In addition, this role will:
The person in this role would work with our families on weekends and during evening hours. Travel is required, as families are seen in their homes, an office, or other community settings. LSI will reimburse you for mileage, and we offer flexible scheduling.
What You'll Need
Qualified applicants for this role must have one of the following:
Acceptable human service degrees include Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, and Human Services or Development.
LSI strives to empower Iowa kids and adults in their own language. While most of our LSI teammates speak English daily in the office, we can better serve our Spanish-speaking families by using their first language during home visits. Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged!
