Bilingual Teacher Aide (2026-2027 School Year)
WHO YOU ARE
The Bilingual Teacher Aide provides instructional, linguistic, and classroom support to teachers and multilingual learners to promote academic achievement and language development. Working under the supervision of the classroom teacher and school administration, the Bilingual Teacher Aide assists with instruction, translates and interprets as appropriate, supports student engagement, and helps create a positive, inclusive learning environment where students can succeed.

THE ROLE
The Bilingual Teacher Aide will:

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Meet one of the following New Jersey requirements for a Teacher Aide:
At least 60 college credits;
Passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment; or
Bachelor's Degree.
Fluency in English and at least one additional language (Spanish preferred).
Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff in both languages.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a school team.
