Rate: $50-$60/hr.

Overview

We are seeking a BI Project Manager to join a growing PMO organization supporting a portfolio of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics initiatives. This role is primarily focused on project management (70%) with a smaller business analysis component (30%), making it ideal for a candidate who enjoys driving Agile delivery while also partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements and define solutions.

The team is responsible for delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions across multiple business lines. Projects include Power BI dashboard development, system integrations, data warehouse and data lake initiatives, and broader data modernization efforts.

Project Management (70%)

• Manage multiple BI and data-related projects simultaneously within an Agile environment.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Drive project timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Lead stakeholder meetings and provide regular project status updates.
• Partner with development, QA, and business teams to remove roadblocks and maintain delivery momentum.
• Promote Agile best practices and drive process adoption across project teams.
• Coordinate work across both onshore and offshore resources.

Business Analysis (30%)

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Develop business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Assist with data validation, UAT coordination, and stakeholder signoffs.
• Support dashboard and reporting initiatives by translating business needs into technical requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management experience leading Agile/Scrum projects.
• 2+ years of Business Analyst experience gathering and documenting requirements.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working closely with technical teams, including developers and QA resources.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban methodologies.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or Data Engineering projects.
• Exposure to Power BI reporting and dashboard initiatives.
• Experience with data warehouse, data lake, or enterprise data modernization projects.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, general ledger/accounting data, or system integrations.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Power Apps, and Microsoft Teams.
• Financial services, insurance, or consulting industry experience is a plus.
