Bible Conference Program Aide (6236)

This position is responsible for:

Assisting in providing childcare services for children, including personal care, hygiene, learning, and development activities, and specialized programs; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of childcare property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists class leaders in implementing lesson plans which are age-group program specific; utilizes age-group appropriate discovery areas, enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities.
• Assists in organizing and supervising recreational activities; observes, monitors, and supervises children on the playground.
• Assists in building and maintaining effective and positive relationships with parents; informs parents of children's progress and specific incidents.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to lift, hold, and carry toddlers on a regular basis.

Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a normal childcare environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like

• One year of experience working with children in a church setting.
• or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications:

C.P.R. and First Aid Certification preferred.
