Wheel Sport Bicycle is hiring a Bicycle Mechanic 2. This position requires a mechanic with exceptional repair and leadership skills, as well as high-level experience. Duties and responsibilities include: review customer comments on status of bicycle; detail and price repairs to be completed on bike; obtain customer approval for repair; repair and install bike parts as necessary for repair; build new bicycles; review used bicycles and trade-ins for condition and value; maintain tool, equipment, and parts inventory; perform advanced repairs as required by customers; direct and mentor Mechanic 1*; perform quality control checks prior to customer delivery; complete advanced service diagnostics and detailed service write-up; direct customers through entire sales process; including selecting bicycles that fit their body sizes and intended bicycle uses; record sales and workorders in the Point-of-Sale system; attend company sponsored events*; build and maintain relationships with customers; and maintain high level of cleanliness and organization in workshop. Requirements: two years of bicycle mechanical experience required, to include duties above (except those with asterisk). High-level bicycle mechanical experience and knowledge meaning experience with major drive train overhauls. Salary: $51,085.00 per year. Benefits: Paid time off, healthcare for full time employees (30 hours plus), employer pays 75% and employee pays 25%, employee purchase discount cost 10%, and employee bike rental option 10% of MSRP of the bike paid through payroll deduction each pay period.
