About The Role:
OZ Trails Bike Park is bringing lift-served gravity riding to Northwest Arkansas. Located in Bella Vista, the park features purpose-built downhill trails, a high-speed lift, and riders traveling from across the country.
We’re looking for a full-time Bike School Coach who lives and breathes gravity riding and loves helping others progress. This role is all about delivering great experiences -- from one-on-one lessons to group sessions, clinics, and camps -- while building confidence, skills, and stoke in every rider you work with.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position and will require weekday and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities
Coach Riders
- Lead private lessons, group sessions, clinics, and camps
- Teach progression-based skills across gravity disciplines -- cornering, braking, jumping, drops, and technical terrain
- Meet riders where they are and help them move forward with confidence
- Create a supportive, fun, and inclusive learning environment
Create Great Experiences
- Deliver memorable, high-quality coaching experiences every time
- Build relationships with riders and encourage them to keep coming back
- Represent Oz Trails with energy, professionalism, and authenticity
Keep It Safe
- Lead with safety in every session
- Check equipment, assess trails, and set riders up for success
- Teach trail etiquette and responsible riding
- Respond quickly and calmly if something goes wrong
Build the Program
- Help shape clinics, camps, and coaching pathways
- Work with the team to continuously improve the Bike School experience
- Support events and special programs across the park
Be Part of the Team
- Show up ready -- bikes dialed, gear prepped, mindset on
- Help with daily operations and guest flow when needed
- Contribute to a positive, hardworking, and fun team culture
Qualifications:
- Strong gravity riding skills (downhill, enduro, jump lines, technical terrain)
- Experience coaching, instructing, or guiding (bike or similar action sports)
- Clear communication and a people-first mindset
- Energy, reliability, and a willingness to jump in where needed
- Availability to work weekends and peak riding seasons
- CPR/AED and First Aid (or willingness to get certified)
Bonus if you have:
- PMBIA, BICP, or similar certification
- Experience coaching both youth and adults
- Familiarity with bike parks and progression-based coaching
- A genuine passion for helping people grow on bikes
Work Environment:
This role involves standing, reaching, seeing, grasping, bending and speaking for extended periods of time in an open-concept environment with varying noise levels.
