Schedule: Flexible, 2 to 6 hours per week based on client needs and availability
Target Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 hourly, based on education and experience

Job Summary
Northeast Arc's Autism Coaches help those with Autism Spectrum Disorder develop goals for their future and creative ways to achieve them.The Guided Personal Support (GPS) Program brings together a combination of SSQUAL contracts from the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS), focused on preparing individuals to acquire skills across different areas of their lives so they can live more independently and live their best life. As an Autism Coach in Andover, you will work one-on-one with individuals in the community, bringing Northeast Arc's mission of changing lives and discovering abilities to life, one goal at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized supports to clients for the purpose of fostering community inclusion, community building, and independence
  • Teach specific skills and behaviors, such as executive functioning skills and appropriate relational boundaries, in accordance with the goals, objectives, and strategies identified in the individual's plan
  • Communicate with supervisor regularly regarding progress, challenges, and goals
  • Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, including time sheets and incident reports, in a timely manner and in accordance with program and agency policies
  • Use personal vehicle, when applicable, to transport the individual to goal-related community activities
  • Provide mandated reporting consistent with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Sections 51A-51G

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field required; Master's degree in a relevant field preferred Minimum of 1 year of experience working with an individual with disabilities
  • Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Comfort working in home or community-based environments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to stand for 80% of the day
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks as a condition of employment
