    NOTICE OF FILING AN APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATION

    JOB TITLE: Bilingual/Bicultural Teacher

    DETAILS: Lincoln Elementary School- located in Whitewater, Wisconsin - seeks to hire a Bilingual/Bicultural Teacher. Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in education or related field and proficiency in Spanish. Prior employment experience is not required. The candidate must be able to obtain standard ESL Teacher DPI certification and a Bilingual/Bicultural license. Job duties include:

    1. Provide academic and language development instruction to bilingual learners across grades K-12, selecting and using training and instructional methods appropriate for diverse linguistic backgrounds

    2. Apply multiple teaching methods including co-teaching, small-group instruction, and differentiated approaches to accommodate varying student needs and English proficiency levels

    3. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with general education teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals to coordinate inclusive instructional settings

    4. Encourage students to explore learning opportunities and persevere with challenging tasks while building confidence in both academic content and English language skills

    5. Prepare materials and adapt classroom resources for bilingual learning activities, incorporating culturally responsive teaching practices

    6. Analyze information from language and academic assessments, including ACCESS for ELLs,

    STAR, ACTFL, and STAMP, to evaluate student progress and inform instructional decisions

    1. Modify teaching methods and materials to meet the linguistic, academic, and social-emotional needs of bilingual students

    2. Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with students, families, and educational team members, communicating fluently and effectively in both English and Spanish

    3. Conduct meetings and communications with parents and guardians in their preferred language to determine priorities for their children and their resource needs

    4. Participate actively in professional learning communities and data analysis sessions to improve student outcomes
