Summary:The Bilingual Claims Administrator manages the intake, processing, and resolution of workers compensation claims from the initial report of injury through claim closure. This position serves as the primary point of contact for injured employees, supervisors, medical providers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. The role requires fluency in English and Spanish and a commitment to providing accurate, timely, and compassionate service while ensuring compliance with applicable workers compensation laws and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, review, and process new workers compensation claims in accordance with company policy and state regulations. Communicate with injured employees, supervisors, medical providers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in both English and Spanish. Verify claim eligibility, coverage, and compensability while maintaining accurate claim documentation. Coordinate medical treatment authorizations, return to work plans, and light duty accommodations. Prepare and translate claims correspondence, forms, and notices for Spanish speaking employees. Investigate claim details by gathering information from employees, supervisors, and witnesses. Coordinate with adjusters, nurse case managers, attorneys, and third-party administrators as needed. Monitor claim activity and proactively assist in resolving claims in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with workers compensation regulations, reporting requirements, and company standards. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Fluency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred. Five or more years of workers compensation claims administration or related experience preferred. Working knowledge of workers compensation laws, medical terminology, and claims processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and claims management systems. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with insurance carriers, medical providers, and legal representatives preferred.Note: This is an on-site position and requires the ability to work in the office during standard business hours,
Working Conditions:
In-person with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Finger dexterity for extensive amounts of typing. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time. This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts).
