Job Description

Bilingual Community Health Administration Coordinator (Contract)

Los Angeles, CA

$23 - $27 /hour

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

Employment Type: Contract 9 months

Travel: Up to 75% across multiple clinic sites in the Los Angeles area (mileage/travel reimbursed from designated home base location)

About the Role

A mission-driven healthcare organization is looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) professional to serve as a critical link between patients, healthcare providers, staff, and community resources. This person will support clinics in underserved and historically underprivileged communities, including populations who may have experienced trauma, and needs to be genuinely comfortable and compassionate working in that environment, not just willing.

This is a fast-paced, low-ramp-up role. The team lead wears many hats and needs someone who can take direction and figure things out independently rather than needing extensive hand-holding.

What You'll Do

  • Travel between multiple clinic sites (day-to-day location can vary)
  • Support outreach into underserved/underprivileged communities
  • Provide general administrative support, spreadsheets, Word documents, and related admin tasks
  • Help patients navigate healthcare services and connect with resources
  • Promote health literacy and community wellness

What We're Looking For

  • Admin experience is non-negotiable
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (hard requirement)
  • Self-starter who can take ownership with minimal ramp-up time
  • Genuine passion for and comfort working with underserved communities
  • Reliable, punctual, and engaged
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable with a multi-site, travel-heavy schedule

Preferred / Strongly Preferred

  • CPR certification (preferred); BLS certification a strong plus
  • Background as a paramedic, EMT, CNA, or medical technician a strong plus
  • Degree in Public Health a plus
  • Already fingerprinted/cleared a plus
  • Background in social services, case management, discharge planning, home health aide, or retirement home care also relevant
  • Prior non-profit, advocacy, or community outreach experience
