We're looking for people with the principles that got us here: self-motivated, passionate, and hardworking.The RoleAs a Bilingual Construction Safety Manager, you'll be dedicated to one active UCS project at a time, owning the jobsite safety program for our self-perform interiors crews from mobilization through closeout. When a project wraps, you'll move to the next one, so this role involves travel to commercial construction sites across the U.S., with company-paid lodging and per diem. You'll train and coach crews in both English and Spanish, work alongside our superintendents and foremen every day, and serve as our main safety contact with the general contractor's safety team.What You'll Be DoingImplement and enforce the UCS safety program and the project's site-specific safety plan on a daily basisDevelop and review JHAs/AHAs and daily pre-task plans with foremen and crewsLead jobsite safety orientations, weekly toolbox talks, and hands-on training for employees and subcontractors, in English and SpanishConduct daily jobsite inspections and audits, correct hazards on the spot, and track corrective actions to completionManage the trade-specific hazards of interiors work, including silica exposure control under OSHA Table 1, fall protection, scaffolds and rolling platforms, aerial lifts, stilts, powder-actuated tools, and material handling and stockingLead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and near-miss reporting, and keep OSHA recordkeeping and documentation accurate and currentCoordinate with the GC's safety team, attend project safety meetings, and support GC and OSHA inspectionsServe as competent person for applicable scopes and verify that equipment operators hold current training and certificationsOrganize safety workshops and help build a jobsite culture where crews look out for each otherNecessary Qualifications4+ years of construction safety experience, with commercial construction strongly preferredOSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certificationsBilingual English and Spanish (required), with the ability to train and communicate in both languages on the jobsiteWillingness to travel and relocate temporarily to project sites nationwideWorking knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards, including silica, fall protection, and scaffoldingExperience with interiors, drywall, or framing trades preferredCHST, STS, or first aid/CPR trainer credentials are a plusPhysical RequirementsOn your feet approximately 80% of the timeMust be able to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistanceWhat We Can Offer YouWe empower our associates to grow professionally while providing a competitive benefits and compensation package.Generous bonuses based on project performanceOpportunity for advancement in a growing companyOptional medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany paid life insurance401k PlanPaid Time Off Plan and paid holidays1-week paid volunteer leave each year in addition to our PTO planCompany-paid lodging and meal per diem while travelingCompetitive mileage reimbursementMake Your Move, Apply Now!If you're a bilingual construction safety professional who wants to run the safety program on real projects, and to be an important and appreciated part of a growing team, United Contractor Services is ready for you. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERThe United Family of Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
