Job description:
The Bilingual Customer Service & Garment Pressing is the face of our quality promise. This dual-role position is responsible for providing exceptional service to our diverse clientele while ensuring the high-quality finishing of garments and linens through professional pressing, cleaning, and packaging. You will manage front-desk interactions—handling inquiries and orders in both English and Spanish—while maintaining strict attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to production schedules, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service in English and Spanish; assist customers with orders, payments, and service inquiries.
- Perform garment pressing for dresses, shirts, pants, and household items using appropriate equipment.
- Conduct collar and cuff scrubbing for shirts, lab coats, and similar items to maintain quality standards.
- Sort, wash, press, and package linens according to established procedures.
- Cross-train and operate all pressing stations, including shirt, pants, and utility presses.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace and surrounding areas.
- Monitor and restock supplies required at assigned workstations.
- Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation protocols as outlined by company policy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in garment pressing, laundry, or textile care preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a warm environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn multiple stations.
- Basic understanding of safety and equipment operation procedures.
Working Conditions
- Typical schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (or until daily pressing is completed).
- Work environment includes exposure to heat and steam.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
