Job Description
Overview:
- The teacher will plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction while supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth of all students.
- The classroom will include up to 24 students, with approximately 80% Spanish-speaking and 20% English-speaking students.
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating an inclusive classroom where students from different linguistic backgrounds can learn, participate, and succeed.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based elementary instruction.
Due to nature of the job provide instruction and academic support in both Spanish and English. - Differentiate instruction based on students' academic and language needs.
- Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development.
- Create an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
- Assess student learning and use data to guide instruction.
- Collaborate closely with grade-level teachers and other educational staff.
- Maintain effective classroom management for a class of up to 24 students.
- Communicate effectively with students and families in both Spanish and English.
- Participate in staff meetings approximately twice per month.
- Maintain required educational records and documentation.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Due to the nature of the job Fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Due to nature of the job advanced proficiency in Spanish required.
- Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license appropriate to the assignment.
- Appropriate bilingual education licensure/credential required for the assignment.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Ability to effectively teach and support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Previous elementary teaching experience preferred.
